Arvydas Pakalka

Arvydas Pakalka was born in April 3, 1957 in Vilnius. Painter and graphic artist. Participated in various exhibitions since 1982 and is a member of the Lithuanian Artists‘ Union since 1984. Since 1995 he has been teaching at the M.K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts in Vilnius. In 1995 was representative of Lithuanian art in Helsinki.
The artist has won awards at national and international exhibitions in the fields of painting, graphics and sculpture and received several scholarships in Lithuania and abroad, participated in many national and international exhibitions together with some of the most famous Lithuanian and expatriate artists such as Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, Neemia Arbit Blatas, Jacques Lipchitz Hansson, Antanas Žmuidzinavičius, Petru Kalpokas, Viktoras Vizgirda and other classics and avant-garde artists like Jonas Mekas.
The artist‘s works have been acquired by national and foreign museums and collectors, e.g. residing in Berlin / New York Wolf and Maria von Moltke (Romanoff Foundation), his paintings were among the paintings of world-renowned artists such as Fernand Leger, Marcel Duchamp and Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and others.
You can find Arvydas Pakalka‘s paintings in Lithuanian government palace, a number of municipal buildings, companies, hotels and other public and private spaces.
