Daujotas‘ painting technique is somewhat conservative and oldschool, however the content of his paintings has a pulse that is overdriven with the anxiety of the vast amounts of information of the modern world. The authors‘ painting subjects vary from architectural fragments, to kitchen utensils or an albino crocodile. The main goal is to illustrate the depth, tension, setbacks, beauty, changes, anxiety – and most importantly – diversity, of the reclusive inner mind. Looking at the painted empty interiors and exteriors, drastic shadow formations and an atmospheric light flow, the influence of such artists as Edward Hopper, Jake Longstreth, Mitchell Johnson, Rene Magritte, is quite evident.
