Albrecht Durer

Albrecht Durer was famous 16 th century german renaissance artist, focused mostly on painting and unique woodcut printmaking. While being in his twenties he managed to build his image across in Europe thanks to his woodcut prints, which made him recognisable not only in Germany but also in Europe. While actively creating he was also  constantly in contact with major Italian artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphaelo and Giovanni Bellini. That is why later on he went to Italy to study its more experienced art world and managed to develop his unique printmaking technique. Durer's works remain astonishing even in 21 st century.
